Established in 2009, Pace Performance Coatings performs high-quality sandblasting, powder coating, and ceramic coating in a 10,000 square-foot facility. Pace Performance Coatings is capable of taking projects up to 8'x8'x20' with weights up to 4,500 pounds.
Every project begins by sand-blasting all substrates to bare metal, free from rust, grime, and other particulates. Then the parts are hung on one of Pace Performance's 20 foot-long carts to be cleaned and washed with phosphate during the pre-treatment process. After washing, the rack is taken into the dry-off/out-gas oven to be prepared for the spray booth. Once cooled, the dry powder coat is applied with an electrostatic powder coating machine before curing the project. Each project takes between 20 and 35 minutes to cure once the underlying metal reaches its curing temperature which is, on average, 350 degrees. Finally, after curing, the rack is rolled into the cooling area. After reaching ambient temperature, the project is prepped, packaged, and shipped to the customer.
If parts are ready to be sandblasted, project turnaround time can range from 5 business days to as little as 3 business days. Should parts need to be stripped of a coating currently applied, turnaround time can increase to 5-10 business days. If you need a quicker turnaround, Pace Performance Coatings can expedite its services for a fee from its location in Indianapolis.
